The Local Election Act established a statewide election in November of odd-numbered years for non-partisan elections and local government ballot questions. Beginning in 2019, many voters will be able to vote for all of these races and questions on the same day!


 


The elections that appear on your ballot are determined by the address where you are registered to vote.


 


If you are registered to vote in Anthony, Hatch, Las Cruces and Sunland Park and your councilors, trustees, or mayor is up for re-election, you will see those elections on your ballot. Las Cruces voters, your municipal officers will be determined by ranked choice voting.


 


You will also see elections pertaining to your:

  • school district
  • special hospital district
  • community college district
  • technical and vocational institute district
  • learning center district
  • special zoning district
  • soil and water conservation district
  • water and sanitation district
